Dinner features New England clam chowder, fresh green salad, fluffy baked potato, garden vegetables and your choice of Prime Rib of Beef au jus, Chicken Marsala, Baked Filet Salmon or Vegetarian Lasagna, desserts and coffee.

The Skaneateles Lake Dinner Cruises are offered up to five days a week from mid-May through September, subject to availability. The Dinner Cruise departs at 6:00 PM May thru August, and at 5:00 PM in September.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably for your dining experience. Casual, comfortable dress and a sweater or light jacket is suggested as it tends to be cooler on the lake. Plan layers for unseasonably warm or cool days.

Skaneateles is a beautiful village worth seeing on it’s own but combined with a dinner cruise simply marvelous! The dinner was absolutely delicious, the wait staff attentive and the captain’s narrative on the town and lake’s history and The Who’s who of the lake front homes was both interesting and enjoyable.

It was a beautiful evening for the cruise. The food and service was good. The only real complaint was that the seating was too tight to the tables for most people and it was sometimes hard to hear the captain on the pa system. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

We enjoyed the cruise. We were surprised we had to share a table with another couple. I thought that the wait staff should inform you that only the champagne comes with the meal not any other form of beverage is included in the price. That is why we did not tip well.

THE CRUISE IT'S SELF WAS NICE A BEAUTIFUL LAKE. THE DINNER PART WAS NOT AS SPECIAL AS IT WAS BUILT UP TO BE. THE SEATING WAS WAY TO CLOSE TOGETHER EVERYTIME YOU HAD TO GET UP YOU FELT LIKE YOU WERE INTRUDING ON THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU. THE MEAT WAS OVER DONE AND THE VEGGIES UNDER COOKED. I scheduled this dinner cruise as an anniversary surprise for my husband and I. The views were beautiful and we had a nice time, but this dinner cruise should not be confused with anything intimate or fancy. Plastic champagne cups and packed in like sardienes. I also didn't like the star treatment that was given to the workers as they celebrated with a party that night as the other two tables on the same level were ignored. They could have at least extended the left-overs on the platters to us also.

Answer: No, the evening is rarely cancelled. If the weather on the lake is unsuitable for a dinner cruise, then dinner will be served dockside. On the rare occasion that it's cancelled altogether you will be rescheduled by the tour company directly.

Answer: Lake Skaneatleles is about 40 minutes from downtown Syracuse.
