Experience the fun of flying a plane! During this thrilling experience gift you will discover firsthand the thrill of flying a light aircraft during this New Orleans flight lesson.

The adventure begins when you meet with your Certified Flight Instructor at the Lakefront Airport. The Pilot will escort you on to the tarmac where you will participate in the preflight safety check of the Cessna 172. Once ready, the Pilot will taxi the plane down the runway and take-off into the Louisiana skies. During the flight you will have the opportunity to take over the controls and pilot the plane!

Participants
The New Orleans Introductory Flight Lesson Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for guests. However, spectators may join you at the airport. Flight time is defined as the time from engine start to engine shutdown. This includes the time it takes to get from the ramp to the runway and back, before and after takeoff and landing.

The Flight Lesson In New Orleans is offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

How Long Is It

The Discovery Flight Lesson includes 30 minutes of flight time, all instruction takes place while in the aircraft.

Weather

The New Orleans Flying Lesson may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds, fog or heavy rain.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled athletic shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

The Flight Lesson will take place in a Cessna 172. Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 250lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Gratuity for the Instructor is not included and should be extended following the flight.
