The Cooking Lessons In St. Louis are offered Monday thru Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons, year-round, subject to availability. Classes typically begin at 6:00 PM or 6:30 PM on weeknights and 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM on weekends.

These Participation Classes are held at the Kitchen Conservatory located in Clayton and are taught by some of the best local chefs from St. Louis Restaurants, plus fabulous Culinary educators who share their specialties of the kitchen.

Please keep in mind that the classes are very popular and typically sell out three weeks or more in advance.

Birthday present class

Our class was croissant making. Our instructor was very friendly and her instructions were easy to follow. We enjoyed eating most of the results. One disappointment was that we specified no pork, and one of the croissants made was ham and cheese. In general it was a good class.

A Fun and Tasty Cooking Class at the Kitchen Conservatory

Although we are novices in the kitchen, Chef Bob Colosimo of Eleven Eleven Mississippi made the cooking class a fun and enjoyable learning experience. Oh - did I mention the food was fantastic! The Kitchen Conservatory is conveniently located in Clayton and stocked with tons of cooking and kitchen supplies. Although I wasn't sure what some of the things were, I was sure I needed them :-).

We had about 12 people in our class during the evening and each of us took one of the courses and worked in partnership and under the supervision of Chef Bob. We laughed, chopped and learned the steps to preparing a wonderful Italian meal. This was not just a simple meal, but consisted of fondue fontana, spaghetti squash, cubed butternut squash, handmade gnocchi, grilled swordfish and a pear encrusted desert. Of course the sauces made each dish pop!

My wife and I really enjoyed the cooking class for two and would highly recommend the class for others. Our thanks to Chef Bob Colosimo for a great experience!

The class was great.. I know how to cook but I didn't know how to cut an onion so you don't cry!.. everyone learned something. My friend who came with me can't cook but she learned a lot and it not out of her depth. The class had really good structure, and we made a Rissoto and it came out great.( That dish takes time!) I would do it again.

Great Wok Cooking Class !!!

This hands-on class is a great way to learn how to make authentic asian stir-fry. We each took our turn at the wok, feasted, and then went for round two. It was a fun afternoon, we had a knowledgable and entertaining teacher, I know I learned a lot and will be able to make stir-fry at home now.

Our Asian Cooking Class was a bit of a surprise. We thought we signed up for a full menu class, ends up, we got a sushi-making class. The change was great for me and my daughter! Others were disappointed. But, the Chef was fabulous and made it a great experience for all! Just spending time learning to cook something new with my daughter was special! My kids gave me a certificate for Christmas. Attended the 'A Summer Cold Dinner' demonstration with Chef Jean-Pierre Auge. The menu was wonderful and Chef Jean-Pierre was great!! Answer: The price of the St. Louis Cooking Class Experience is valid for one participant and includes a three-hour participation cooking class held at Missouri’s premier gourmet destination, the Kitchen Conservatory. Wine is not offered for consumption.
Question: I am confused about when the class is offered. It says Monday through Sunday year round, but there are not dates on the Calendar. How can I tell what classes are offered?

Answer: Dates for the St. Louis Cooking Class are posted quarterly and sell out quickly. If you visit the "When It's Offered" section available dates are highlighted in green. You may hover your mouse over the date it will tell you the theme of the night. We suggest making your reservation far in advance as classes tend to sell out, sometimes months in advance.
Question: Do I need to bring anything to the class?.

Answer: No, the cooking school will have all of the supplies you need.
Question: Are children allowed?

Answer: Participants in the Cooking Class In St. Louis must be at least 15 years of age and accompanied by an adult if under the age of 18.
