Each tour offers a wide variety of scrumptious tastings from specialty food shops to ethnic eateries. Options include Downtown St. Petersburg Tour where you will explore the explosion of flavors at several culinary stops in the Edge District, and the Sunshine City Tour where you will indulge in unusual sandwiches, southern foods with a twist, and handmade out-of-this-world desserts! Each tour will have you walking away satisfied with a full stomach!

The St. Petersburg Food Tours are offered on Tuesdays, year-round, subject to availability. Tours typically take place at 2:30 PM.

The Food Tours of St. Petersburg have a tour length of approximately 3 Hours with a total duration of t3½ hours.

Weather

The St. Petersburg Culinary Tours take place in all weather conditions. Reservations may be rescheduled by the Guide due to sever weather conditions.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are suggested for this culinary adventure. Flip-flops, high heels and dress-shoes are not recommended.

Tours include 1½ to 2 miles of walking and there are typically five stops for tastings. Participants may bring a bottle of water or non-alcoholic beverage on the tour.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the experience no substitutions can be made and locations visited on the tour are subject to change. Tours are not designed for children under the age of 8.

Gratuities for your tour guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

You will have the opportunity to purchase additional food and beverages after the tour, therefore participants are urged to bring additional spending money.

An Educational and Fun Afternoon

We had a delightful afternoon going on this culinary tour. We sampled excellent food at multiple locations around the Central Avenue/Arcade areas of downtown St Petersburg, and learned of the artistic and architectural history of the area. The samples we were provided were delicious and we got to spend a little time talking to the local restaurant managers. Highly recommend.

Great way to explore downtown

This was our first time in downtown St Pete. The food tasting tour was lead by a terrific guide. Deborah was full of knowledge of the area history and the locations we experienced were great. A nice variety of foods, atmosphere and selections. Perfect way to explore the area and find lots of dining choices. It was a pleasure to make new friends in our group.

Gulfport Walking Tour

Our originally scheduled tour was for St. Petersburg, but unfortunately it was canceled at the last minute. We decided to take the Gulport tour as a replacement. The guide was very nice and informative. The town is quaint, quirky and small. We stopped at multiple restaurants and ate lots of delicious food. The vendors were friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed the other tour guests. Our daughters gave us this tour as a Christmas gift and I would recommend it.

Better than expected!

Received this as a gift. Our guide, Christine, was wonderful! She was so interesting and full of information. The stops we made were fantastic, and we toured a part of St. Pete we were unfamiliar with. Although we (and the other couple on the tour) said we signed up for the downtown St. Pete tour and we both got "the fringe" of downtown St.Pete tour, we really enjoyed it. The food locations and guide were fantastic with a perfect amount of walking in between. My only criticism would be to make the meeting instructions and phone number to ask questions clearer and more accessible.

Great Tour Guide, Great Food

Eat, Sip, Indulge with tour guide Christine was great! My husband, 29-year-old son and a fellow tourist, Joanne, all enjoyed the delicious food, history and anecdotes, colorful neighborhood and the uniqueness of each owner. Brooklyn South, Zaytoon Grill, Winesmith, Bodega, Green Bench Brewery and the Mexican restaurant (the one name I can't remember!) were each special and surprised even our tour guide with their generosity...giving us extra samples, water and time. They were genuinely welcoming and warm. Christine is a gem. She is SO smart, poised and knowledgeable...engaged all of us with conversation, grasp of history and local color. We felt like we were on the cutting edge of discovering something new...The tour was a gift from another son and his wife from TWO years ago! Question: We received the St. Petersburg Culinary Walking Tour as a wedding gift. My wife is a vegetarian. Will there be options for her or will she have to skip some of the tastings?

Answer: Vegetarians can be accommodated at all of the locations on each tour with advance notice.
Question: I would like to purchase the St. Petersburg Culinary Walking Tour for my parents, but I am wondering if there there any bathroom breaks along the way?

Answer: Yes, there are around five stops on the tour, and they all have bathroom facilities.
Question: I would like to purchase this gift for my brother as a gift, but he uses a wheelchair. Will he be able to participate in the tour?

Answer: Yes, all of the tour stops are handicapped accessible.
Question: I received this Experience as a birthday present. I am worried about what happens if it rains?

Answer: Tours take place rain or shine, so you will want to check weather before you leave for the tour. If it calls for rain, bring an umbrella!
Question: Can I shop during the tour?

Answer: Yes, there will be limited time to shop at the tasting locations you will visit. You will also pass stores that you may wish to stop at. The tour guide will ask that you wait until after the tour so you don't disrupt the pace of the tour.
