The entertainment begins when you meet your friendly local Guide in the heart of Fountain Square. As the first commercial district in Indianapolis, you will walk through the streets lined with beautifully designed buildings that have been there since the 1870’s. Learn about it's transition from humble roots to trendy neighborhood. Then, it’s time to let your taste buds run wild as you stop at both long standing institutions and new, hip eateries to taste their best bites. Sink your teeth into an array of mouthwatering morsels like homemade BBQ, Greek and Thai specialties, French dessert and more!

The Fountain Square Food Tours are offered on Saturdays, year-round, subject to availability. Tours typically begin at 2:00 PM.

The Indiana Fountain Square Culinary Tour has a tour length of approximately 3½ hours and a total duration of approximately 3¾ hours.

The Indianapolis Food Tour of Fountain Square takes place in all weather conditions.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are suggested for this culinary adventure. Flip-flops, high heels and dress-shoes are not recommended.

Tours include 1 to 1½ miles of walking and there are typically four to six stops for food tastings and one stop at a local brewery to sample local beer. Participants may bring a bottle of water or non-alcoholic beverage on the tour.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the experience no substitutions can be made and locations visited on the tour are subject to change.

Gratuities for your tour guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

You will have the opportunity to purchase additional food and beverages after the experience, therefore participants are urged to bring additional spending money.
