You may invite a guest to join you for the art class for a total of two participants.

When It Is Offered hide

The Philadelphia Glass Blowing Class is offered seven days a week, from September to July, subject to availability. Lessons can be scheduled from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

How Long Is It hide

The Glass Blowing Workshop in Philadelphia includes a 2 hour lesson and a total duration of approximately 2¼ hours.

Weather hide

The Philadelphia Glass Blowing Lesson takes place in all weather conditions.

What To Wear hide

Dress in all cotton clothing and close-toed shoes. Plastics in clothing may melt of become uncomfortable. Rayon, polyester and other synthetic fabrics are not recommended. Participants are invited to bring a pair of safety glasses for eye safety, if they have a fitting pair. If not, safety glasses will be provided.

The glassblowing studio is located at Sherman Mills in East Falls, near Manayunk, about 7 minutes from the Philadelphia Art Museum.

Sherman Mills is a 19th century textile mill that is undergoing a transformation into a vibrant, diverse artists' community. There are 40+ artist studios in the complex, including sculptors, painters, stained glass artists, warm glass artists (slumping and fusing), potters, weavers, and others. Sherman Mills is the 2nd largest group of artist studios in Philadelphia and still growing. East Falls Glassworks is convenient to Center City Philadelphia, New Jersey, the Main Line and surrounding suburbs.

Consumption of alcohol before the class is prohibited. A water fountain is available, but participants are allowed to bring non alcoholic beverages.

Pieces made during the lesson can be picked up two days after the lesson, or shipped for an additional cost. All tools and materials are included in the cost of the class.


Reservation Information hide

All changes to reservations for the Glass Blowing Class in Philadelphia Experience require twenty (20) days advance notice. Changes to your reservation are subject to a $25.00 administrative fee.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
