Experience the thrill of sailing with a Certified US Sailing Keelboat Instructor aboard a 23' Sonar Sailboat during a two-hour, hands-on Sailing Lesson in beautiful Boston Harbor. Lend a hand and learn the ropes of sailing during this Introductory Boston Sailing Lesson. 

The sun sparkling off the picturesque Harbor, the fresh sea air and beautiful views are just a few of the things this sailing experience has to offer. May thru October you will enjoy a relaxing sail as you learn how to operate a keelboat. You may even bring a guest along and enjoy the experience together!

Who Is Included hide

The Introduction to Sailing in Boston Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant and their guest. You may be joined by additional participants on this excursion.

You may bring one guest at no additional cost.

When It Is Offered hide

The Boston Introductory Sailing Lesson is offered 7 days a week, May thru October, subject to availability.

How Long Is It hide

The Boston Harbor Introductory Sailing has a cruise length of 2 hours with a total duration of approximately 2½ hours.

Weather hide

The Introduction to Sailing in Boston may be rescheduled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably, flat, non-marking rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this open water adventure.

Additional Information hide

Lessons take place with the Piers Park Sailing Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit community sailing center on the East Boston waterfront in Boston's Inner Harbor. Their mission is to use Boston Harbor and the seas beyond to provide year-round recreational, educational and personal growth opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.

Price includes all taxes, however gratuity is not included and can be extended to your Captain following your adventure.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe are not eligible to participate. All participants must have a valid photo ID (passport or driving license). Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.
