If you've ever dreamed of flying, then this Boston Discovery Helicopter Flight Lesson is the perfect experience gift! This unique Airborne Adventure provides you with the opportunity to take over the controls of a Robinson R44 Helicopter and actually learn to fly!

Your airborne adventure begins when you meet with your Certified Flight Instructor at the Norwood Memorial Airport located in Norwood, MA approximately 30 minutes southwest of Boston. Upon arrival you will receive an overview of the experience that is about to take place. Next, the CFI will teach you everything you need to know about how to safely fly the helicopter during the ground instruction portion of the lesson. Once this overview is complete, you will hop into the helicopter and strap yourself into the Co-Pilot’s seat as you prepare for take –off. When airborne, you will experience thirty minutes of aerial time to practice hovering, flying sideways and more!

Who Is Included hide

The Learn To Fly A Helicopter In Boston Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant.

You may invite one guest to join you for your flight. (The maximum combined weight of both passengers may not exceed 375lbs.)

When It Is Offered hide

The Helicopter Flight Lessons are offered seven days a week, year-round, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 9:00 AM and one hour prior to sunset.

How Long Is It hide

The Boston Flight Lessons include 20 to 30 minutes of ground instruction, have a flight time of approximately 30 minutes with a total duration is approximately 1¼ hours.

Weather hide

The Boston Introductory Helicopter Lessons may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

Additional Information hide

Your flight will take place in a Robinson R44. Participants will receive a log book to keep and record the flight.

All Pilots are Certified Flight Instructors and accident & incident free. The Company has a 100% safety record.

All participants must have a valid photo ID. Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 235 lbs. If the participant brings a guest, their combined weight may not exceed 375 lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.
