Museum Tours in San Antonio

Our family went to visit the museum of natural history on a very busy day during the holiday season. We met our guide James, outside the museum and he escorted us past all the entrance lines to a separate entrance where we got right in! It was very crowded in the museum and we would have been lost without our wonderful tour guide! He was able to get us to all the key exhibits and push through all the crowds to get our group of 8 to the front where we could see. He had many super interesting stories related to the history of the museum or the exhibit we were looking at. At the end of the tour he even escorted us to the subway entrance! This is a great experience if you want to see the highlights of the museum and learn more about the exhibits than you would by just going through on your own.

The museum is only one room but is full of touching stories and various items that really do a great job of showing the magnitude and human side of the 911 tragedy. The self paced audio presentation and small group allow you to reflect on different stories privately and spend as much or little time as you like. Very well done - I liked that it was tucked away, no touristy signs or neon marquee, no children - it allowed a very personal, meaningful experience. Thank you.

A wonderful experience, tastfully presented and moving. My wife and I were both impressed at the amount of 'history' included in such a small space. As a native New Yorker 9/11 was devastating but Mr Suson focused on the humanity of the weeks that followed. Very few cities could have suvived what happened that day, but the heroism of the first responders allowed all of us to go forward.
