This thrilling Stockcar Racing Experience at Pocono Raceway provides racing fans and thrill seekers with the chance to get behind the wheel and drive a real 600-plus horsepower NASCAR style racecar around the track!

Your Driving Experience begins with a detailed discussion on the operation of the race cars, safety equipment and track rules. Next you will receive an informative tour of the race track with a professional instructor. Then, you’ll be fitted for a racing suit and helmet. Now it’s time to climb in, strap up and take control of a SPRINT Cup style stockcar for 8 action packed high-speed laps.

As you leave the pit and enter the 2½ mile Super Speedway you'll experience an amazing adrenaline rush. So, grab the wheel and prepare for the driving experience of your life as you race around the track for eight electrifying laps. This Racing experience is the perfect unique experience gift for every NASCAR fan!

The Stockcar Driving at Pocono Raceway Experience is offered on specific dates May thru October, subject to availability. Monday thru Thursday Start Times include 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM. Weekend and Holiday Start Times include 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM.

How Long Is It

The Stockcar Driving at Pocono Raceway Experiences include a 40 Minute Technical and Safety Briefing, a 10 Minute Racecar Orientation, 8 Racing Laps and has a total duration of approximately 3 hours, unless an Additional Lap Option is selected.

Weather

The Stockcar Driving at Pocono Raceway Experience may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to heavy rain or other inclement weather. If a reservation is cancelled due to weather, you will receive a rain-check valid for one year from that date which can be used towards another reservation. The rain-check is non-refundable.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, a driving suit will be provided. Please bring a T-shirt that will fit under the driving suit and sneakers. Closed-toed shoes are required. Please refrain from using any hair sprays or gels.

Driving sessions are run in a follow the leader format. An instructor will lead two students following four car lengths. Each lap the lead instructor increases the speed. Upon completion of the program, each participant will receive a certificate of achievement.

Participation in the Pocono Raceway Stockcar Driving Experience is limited to individuals 18 years of age and older with a valid drivers license. Participants must be between 5' and 6'4" tall weighing between 100lbs and 300lbs.

All participants must be able to enter and exit the car on their own through a window opening 15" high x 30" wide and 36" off the ground, and be in good health. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe in racing conditions are not eligible to participate.

All Participants are required to have experience in operating a manual transmission, cars have 4 speed manual transmissions.

Guests may watch your experience from the pit lanes. It is recommended to bring lawn chairs as there is limited seating available. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase, and you are welcome to bring your own. Tailgating in the parking area permitted.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

All changes to reservations for the NASCAR Speedway Driving Experience require thirty-five (35) days advance notice. Changes to reservations are subject to a $75.00 administrative fee.

No changes can be made to reservations within 35 days of the scheduled reservation.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.

Start slow finish fast. It was as good as was expected. My learning curve was steep after changing my tires after the first 8 laps I was able to reach 8000+ rpm’s on the second 8

I am Sandy Filipovic (George's wife) and I bought the Experience for George for Christmas. George loved every minute on Saturday. He got out of the car with a huge smile on his face (and a little shaky) and could not stop talking about it. He is at work today sending emails to everyone with his pictures attached. As for me - it was fantastic. At first I was surprised at how thrilling it was to see him go by on each lap knowing that he was in his glory. I wanted to jump up and down and scream every time he went by. I know I will ever be able to give him a better Christmas gift after this. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience. Sandy

Although this truly is a once in a lifetime experience, It could have been better. for instance cars were breaking down delaying everyone, too many people backed up, and because of that drivers and spectators had to stand in the heat for many hours. it would have been nice to have an area to sit and perhaps have a cool drink. This was May 20th opening day. I think the cars should have all been in running order. No matter what the negatives it still is a great present. It could be a little better though considering the price. Also on such a large track a TV screen to watch the drivers around the track would have been great.

This was an electrifying rush! Professional, courteous instructors prepared me for the experience, however, the actual experience far surpassed their preparation and my expectations. The roar, feel, and speed of 600 horses were pure adrenalin. What a blast!

Question: I bought this gift for my husband. Can I bring our family to watch?

Answer: Yes, there will be a section of the stands open for guests. Tailgating is also allowed in the parking lot.
Question: I would like to give this to a buddy as part of a wedding present, but I am not sure if he can drive stick. Do you need to know how to drive stick?

Answer: Yes. All of the cars have 4 speed manual transmission.
Question: I am looking for an exciting birthday gift for my son who does not have his drivers license. Since it is on a closed track will he be able to participate?

Answer: No, all participants MUST provide a valid drivers license upon registration on the day of their registration.
Question: How many laps do I get with the Pocono Raceway Driving Experience?

Answer: You will get 8 racing laps, unless additional laps are purchased.
Question: Will I be able to purchase food and beverages at the track or am I allowed to bring my own?

Answer: Yes, you can bring your own and a concession stand will be open for your convenience.
Question: I am interested in purchasing this certificate for my father, who is not the most flexible man in the world. What happens if it rains on the day of his reservation?

Answer: You will need to call the racing school if you are concerned. Typically participants must still arrive on time and take the classroom portion of the experience. The school will do everything possible to hold the race. If there is a break in the weather and the experience is goes on, and you are a no show, there will be no rescheduling and no refunds. If the weather makes it unsafe to race all day you will be issued a rain check that will be valid for 1 year.
Question: I would like to buy this driving experience as a gift for a friend who is here as a student and has an international Driver's Licence, will they be able to participate without a US Licence?

Answer: Yes. Individuals are able to participate in the Pocono Raceway Driving Experience as long as the foreign Driver's Licence they possess is valid and not expired.
