Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the City during this 18-20 minute scenic flight tour of New York! The New York – New York Helicopter Tour is your opportunity to experience what it is like to actually ride in a Helicopter and view NYC's most captivating sights all at once.

The excitement starts when you arrive at the Downtown Manhattan Heliport located between Battery Park and South Street Seaport. After you check-in, you’ll watch a brief safety video and then be escorted out on to the tarmac where you and the other guests will board the Bell Helicopter. Once everyone is strapped in, it’s time for the Pilot to take-off! Throughout this extended Helicopter Tour, you will be able to learn about the famous New York City landmarks below. From the Empire State Building to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Central Park, Columbia University and everything in between - you will have a bird’s eye view of Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens and Northern New Jersey!

The New York Helicopter Tours are offered Monday through Saturday year-round, subject to availability. Tours are offered every 15 minutes between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

How Long Is It

The Helicopter Tours have a flight time of 18 to 20 minutes and a total duration of approximately 1 to 1½ hours.

The NYC Helicopter Flights may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

All participants must observe the following requirements:
Must check in all bags with security.
Must walk through a metal detector.
Must have a valid Government Issued Photo ID (Passport or License).
Must pay a mandatory Heliport Security fee of $2.50 PER PERSON.

Heliport Fee Included.

Personal cameras and video cameras are allowed on-board once they are cleared through security. Individuals who are pregnant or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation. Participants must be a minim of 5 years of age or older.

The Operator of this tour reserves the right to upgrade, alter or terminate any or all sightseeing tours due to security, weather or acts of God.

Gratuities for your Pilot are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the flight.

Valentine's Day Helicopter Tour

The tour was exciting, a definite adrendaline rush. I enjoyed the experience, however the time on the helicopter seemed very short. I paid over 43o.oo dollars to be in the air with 6 people. I felt that the duration in the air should have been longer. The pilot looked away from his line of vision twice. That was very scary for a first time helicopter flyer. He did bring everyone back safely, so I should't complain. I was very impressed with how friendly and organized everyone was. They made sure that we were aware of all the safety precautions.My boyfriend enjoyed himself, so I was pleased with how the day turned out.

NYC Helicopter Tour

Very nice way to see the city, but the ride was much too short. We go to NYC about 2 times a year. My husband surprised me with an early Valentine's Day gift, but to his surprise, we had to pay an extra $55 in taxes (why wasn't that included?). Anyway, the tour was still fun especially since it was just the two of us on the flight.

It was a surprise for my wife. We go to NYC about 10 times a year and she had always said she liked the idea of a helicopter ride. It was great fun. Too cramped in the helicopter but still great fun. Bravo to Experience Days!

I like the ride except that we didn't have the chance to take picture of Lady Liberty because the choper was too far and didn't slow down so we can take pictures. Even the city we couldn't take pictures. I guess because of the restriction of the air-space that's why we only flew above the river. Other than that it was ok.

This was an awesome experience for my husband, my daughter, and myself. I think that they put too many people in the back seat with my husband...it was a little tight with 4 big guys. Otherwise it was GREAT!

Question: What is the difference between Big Apple NYC and New York Helicopter Tours?

Answer: The Big Apple Tour is shorts, about 12 to 15 minutes and takes you to the Statue of Liberty and back. The New York Tour takes you to the Statue of Liberty and then up to view some skyscrapers and the George Washington Bridge before you head back to the heliport.
Question: I received an NYC helicopter tour for my birthday and we're driving in from Long Island. Where can we park?

Answer: There is a Parking Garage that is a 5-8 minute walk from the Heliport.
Question: I saw under the addition information tab that there is an extra heliport and security fee that is not included in the price of the tour. I'm giving this experience as a gift for my daughter. Can I pay you for that ahead of time?

Answer: Unfortunately no. This is a separate fee and must be paid when they arrive for the reservation.
Question: My friend is a student in NY from overseas. Can he participate in this NYC helicopter tour?

Answer: Yes all guests are required to bring a valid photo id as follows: US residents must bring valid government issued photo id. Non US residents must bring valid government issued passport.
