Explore the beauty of the Mountains of New Hampshire or New York as you enjoy a full-day guided Climbing Lesson. This private outdoor adventure is a great way to get out and experience the beauty of the mountains year-round.

Your Guide will teach you and the rest of the group the basics of climbing during this thrilling lesson including how to operate equipment, tie knots, use belay techniques and more. Then it's time to put your knowledge to the test!  Each climber in the party will take turns climbing and descending on the challenging mountain. Whether this is your first time or you have previous indoor or outdoor climbing experience, your Instructor will teach you what you need to know to have an exciting and safe outdoor adventure in one of the best climbing spots in the Country!

Participants
The Rock Climbing 101 Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant, unless additional are added to the certificate. You will be joined by additional climbers on the trip.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests or spectators. All spectators must pay in full as they will be included in the participant to guide ratio.

When It Is Offered

The Rock Climbing Lessons are offered offered May thru December, subject to availability. Lessons begin at 8:30 AM and end at 4:30 PM.

How Long Is It

The Climbing Lessons have a length of 7 hours and a total duration of approximately 8½ hours.

Weather

The Outdoor Rock Climbing Lesson is dependent on the weather and may be rescheduled by the Guide due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably for the weather, flat, rubber-soled and closed toed shoes, loose fitting pants or shorts, and a light waterproof breathable jacket are recommended for this outdoor adventure. Shorts must be no shorter than mid thigh, and no hiking boots are allowed. All gear including climbing shoes and a helmet will be provided by the school.

Price includes lesson, guide and equiptment rental. Food and beverages are not included. Participants should bring a packed lunch, snacks and fluids to drink.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

A day pack or backpack that you can climb in is recommended to hold your shoes, personal items, two 64 oz water bottles and a sack lunch. No small hydration packs as you will not be able to fit your shoes in them. Sunscreen, bug spray and a camera are recommended.

Gratuity for your guide is not included and may be extended following the trip. Participants must be over the age of 18 and are required to sign a Liability Release Form.
