Experience first-hand the fun of creating your very own glass masterpiece as you learn how to make your own Stain Glass window during this two-hour Glass Workshop! Taught by a local glass artisan in Oberlin, you will learn the skills you need to create a beautiful glass window.

During this Art Class, you will work one-on-one with experienced Glass Artist, Sheree Ferrato, who will show you step by step how to create your work of art. The fun begins when you select a pattern from the collection of designs. Next, you will be given the tools you need, be taught glass cutting techniques and learn how to use a light table. In addition to the instruction, you will also be allocated studio time to come back and finish your piece. Once complete you will have your very own 24 x 24 inch stained glass window to take home and show to friends and family!

So whether you are looking to begin a new hobby or simply looking to try it or for a unique gift, this creative Glass Lesson is the ticket!

The Stained Glass Classes are offered Tuesday, Friday and Saturday year-round, subject to availability.

How Long Is It

The Stained Glass Class includes one two hour introductory class, plus twenty-two hours of supervised studio time to be arranged after the first class.

The Cleveland Glass Classes take place in all weather conditions.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably in clothes that you don't mind getting messy. Open toed shoes are not permitted.

Classes are taught by Sheree Ferrato, the owern of Verite Stained Glass. Classes are inclusive of all instruction. No experience necessary. Students are responsible for the material cost.

Question: I'd like to purchase an Experience Certificate for the Cleveland Stained Glass Workshop, but would like to create something smaller than 2' x 2'. Is that possible?

Answer: You can make any size you would like as long as it's under 2' x 2'. The price would remain the same.
Question: Will I need to purchase the materials in addition to the cost of the class?

Answer: All of the materials and tools will be provided for you to create a 2'x2' glass window. You may also rent additional time and materials directly from the studio if you'd like to pursue glass working as a hobby.
Question: After the 2 hour introduction, what days can I use the studio? Does it have to be Tuesdays and Wednesdays?

Answer: You'll have to take the initial class on either a Tuesday or Wednesday. After that the studio is available for you to complete your work at the following times: Tuesdays 11am-1pm, Wednesdays 4pm-6:30pm and Saturdays 3pm-5pm
Question: I received this class as a birthday present. Will there be someone in the studio to help me after the 2 hour class?

Answer: Studio time is supervised and an instructor will be there to help you after your initial class.
