Tour guide Kelly - the perfect New Orleans ambassador
Kelly was such a terrific guide. She has an incredible depth of knowledge about the history of the city and the warmest personality. The food choices she made shown the variety of cuisine inside and around the quarter, and I loved how they were off the beaten track. I would highly, highly recommend this tour. We have done other tours in New Orleans and this one was really special.

A local's guide to the culture of New Orleans
Kelly was an excellent tour guide. She participates in the second line parades, is deeply involved in the music industry, and knows New Orleans well. She visits the places where locals go to find their everyday foods done really well and inexpensively. It's less about oysters and fancy restaurants and more about Vietnamese poboys, muffalettas, fried chicken, pastries, and dive bars. The pace is very casual and she provided great suggestions for places to visit after the tour.

Kelly tour of New Orleans
Kelly was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable about the area, history, foods and culture. We loved our time with her! We walked about 5 miles to areas we had not previously explored and tasted local foods and drinks. Kelly provided a fun and interesting tour and we would highly recommend her. I'd like to suggest that there was too much fried food (chicken, fish & shrimp) on this tour. I would have preferred more sampling of fresh fish, oysters, local veggies, beans and rice. The muffaletta & beignet were delicious!

Rainy day food tour in New Orleans
We, my husband and two adult daughters and I, spent most of a day with Kelly exploring the New Orleans food scene. Kelly was a wonderful guide and we learned much about New Orleans culture, the music scene, and Mardi Gras. Who knew you had to dodge carved coconuts thrown from floats during Mardi Gras? Kelly told great stories about New Orleans and gave us suggestions for restaurants to try on our own. She took us to places we would never have thought to walk into and the food was wonderful. Grilled oysters, warm muffaletta, praline stuffed beignets, gumbo, sausages, beans and rice, and the list goes on. The tour was proof that you can find good food anywhere in New Orleans, no need to stick to the big name restaurants. We had fun wandering around with Kelly in the rain, she always had a smile and a wonderful laugh. This was a very special tour.

This was an excellent tour and Kelly was a fabulous guide. We tasted a wide variety of food and had several delicious drinks. Kelly was very knowledgeable and I appreciated learning about her family history. I'm thankful she told me about the West Bank Super Sunday and I was happy to see her participation in the second line parade. I've gone on several Culinary Backstreet food tours and they are the best in the business. This tour met my high expectatons and more.

What a fantastic NOLA experience. We were put in the hands of Kelley. She is New Orleans personified. A descendant of Music Royalty (you will have to ask her), a Babydoll, and just a great human.

We met at the gathering spot and she started us off with beignets from Loretta's at the French Market. Praline stuffed Beignets !!!! and it just got better form there.

Kelley guided us thru the French Quarter, Marigny and the Treme. So many historical sights, so many delicious bites along the way including a Verdi Mart Muffuletta. Every stop we made, she knew someone.

She introduced us to some amazing people with great stories or history.

The tour is worth the price, given what you, where you eat... So many great memories

NOLA cuisine with a lagniappe of history and culture
Our tour guide, Kelly, showed her deep knowledge of New Orleans cuisine and unlikely-looking places for surprisingly great food. Lagniappe: She is the daughter of early rock and roll promoter Bumps Blackwell and she shared his stories and showed us some of the music performance and recording sites of his era. She is also a member of the Baby Dolls crewe and taught us about the origins and practices of the crewes.
