About This Experience

See Washington D.C.’s most popular monuments and memorials from a different perspective—from behind the lens—as architectural photographer, E. David Luria gives hands on tips in basic architectural photography, outdoor photography, and interior photography without flash or tripod.

During this half-day photo tour, Luria will guide you through historic buildings such as: the White House, Lafayette Park, the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, the Albert Einstein, Lincoln, Korea, Vietnam, and Vietnam Women’s Memorials, and to Union Station. Not only will you have an opportunity to learn all about these sites, but you will also learn to take professional photographs of too. This is a picture perfect experience!

There is no doubt that by the end of this unique photography adventure, your photography skills will be exposed through your beautiful pictures!

The Washington DC Photography Tour Xperience Certificate® is for one participant. There will be additional participants on the tour.

This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

The Washington DC Photography Tour is offered Wednesdays & Saturdays year-round, subject to availability. Tours typically begin at 9:40 AM.

*The Full Day Monuments Tour is only offered on Wednesdays.

How Long Is It hide

The Photography Tour of Washington DC has an average length of 3 hours and a total experience time of approximately 3½ hours, unless the Full Day Tour Option is selected.

What To Wear hide

Comfortable, casual attire and comfortable walking shoes are recommended for this adventure.

This Photo Tour of Washington D.C. is for participants at any skill level with any kind of camera, film or digital. Guests are required to bring their own cameras on this adventure. If using a film camera, guest must bring their own film. Cameras nor film will be provided for this experience.
Classes will be led by professional architectural photographer, E. David Luria. Mr. Luria's own images of Washington DC have appeared in over 100 local and national publications – including TIME, Prevention, and Washingtonian Magazines – on 30 magazine covers, and on 80 postcards guidebooks, calendars and tourist publications sold throughout the area. You can also find 25 of his images in a recently published full-color coffee-table book entitled "Washington DC Visions" authored by Austin Kiplinger.
Lunch is not included in the Half or Full Day Tour.
