The Victoria Day Trips with Afternoon Tea are offered seven days a week, year-round, subject to availability. Sails typically depart Seattle at 7:30 AM and return to Seattle at 9:45 PM.

How Long Is It

The Victoria Day Trip and Afternoon Tea includes a 2¾ hour cruise from Seattle to Victoria, a 1 hour Afternoon Tea, time for sightseeing and a 2¾ hour cruise from Victoria to Seattle; and has a total duration of approximately 14 hours.

The Seattle to Victoria Day Trips may be rescheduled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

Price includes all applicable taxes, round-trip cruise fees, and admission to Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Food and beverages are available for purchase on board the ship. Price does not include meals or other activities in Victoria.

The crew asks that you plan accordingly by bringing books, videos, games, toys etc. to occupy children, however, because of the time spent on the boat this tour is not recommended for children under the age of 6.

Identification is necessary for travel between the United States and Canada. All travelers must have a Passport. If you are not a United States or Canadian born citizen you will be required to have a passport and possibly a Visa.

Victoria Day Trip with High Tea

The trip was fine. Seating on the Clipper from Seattle to Victoria was first come first served, so we didn't get to sit together for the three hour trip. We were running a few minutes behind schedule, so we were glad we made it at all. Tea itself was fine. The tea room was lovely. The sandwiches were all air dried and tasted a bit old. Not worth the price for sure! On the way back we made sure we got there early and waited patiently for over an hour only to find out that instead of first come first served, seating was done by ticket number! Thankfully we got to sit together and it was a fine trip back with plenty of room.

Question: My wife and I were gifted this experience but we will need to drive into Seattle. Is there parking nearby an how early should we arrive to board the ship?

Answer: The Cruise company recommends you arrive at least an hour early for the tour. There is a parking garage right next to the terminal. Be sure to keep your ticket stub for a discount when you leave. You will receive more detailed information on your confirmation.
Question: I am thinking of purchasing this experience for a wedding present. What could possibly prevent someone from getting into Canada?

Answer: Felonies could prevent you from entering Canada. This means anything that’s considered a felony in Canada, even if it’s not a felony in the US (such as a DUI/DWI). Even though these may not be considered felonies in the United States, a DUI/DWI could result in being denied entrance into Canada.
Question: I was thinking of purchasing this my brother, who uses a wheelchair. Are these cruises handicapped accessible?

Answer: Yes, the boat for this experience complies with all ADA standards.
