This Introductory Glider Scenic Aerial flight over Trenton and Acadia National Park is perfect for those who are looking to try out a unique aviation experience unlike any other. Your Glider Flight Tour will take you soaring over the rugged coastline in DownEast Maine.

This unique experience gift begins when you meet with your Instructor Pilot at the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport where you will receive a brief introduction to the sport and safety regulations. Once ready, you and your Instructor will be aero-towed by a single engine light aircraft into the thermals and soar through the skies.

This Glider Ride is your chance to see what the fun is all about and share an incredible adventure as you fly effortlessly 2,500 feet above the ground during a Scenic Glider Flight - so don't forget your camera! Whether you are looking to begin a new hobby or you are simply looking to try it, you’ll be able to say you've soared during this Unique Aviation Gift!

Who Is Included hide

The Acadia Glider Flight Experience Gifts Certificate is for one participant.

You may invite a guest to join you for the flight at no additional cost, however the combined weight of both participants may not exceed 400lbs.

When It Is Offered hide

The Acadia Glider Flights are offered seven days a week, May through September, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

How Long Is It hide

The Aerial Glider Flight Over Acadia has an average flight length of 15 to 20 minutes and a total duration of approximately 1 hour, unless an Extended Flight Option is selected.

Weather hide

The Avian Glider Flying Ride may be cancelled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather. If the Glider Flight is cancelled by the Pilot, it will be rescheduled for a mutually convenient alternative date.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this open-cockpit aerial adventure.

Additional Information hide

Participation in the Glider Flight over the Acadia National Park in Maine is limited to individuals over 10 years of age weighing less than 275 lbs. The combined weight of both passengers may not exceed 400 lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Price includes tax. Gratuity may be extended to your Pilot at your discretion following the flight.
