Take the controls of either a Bell 47 or a Schweizer 300CBI Helicopter and fly over beautiful Lancaster County during a 60 minute Hands-On Introductory Helicopter Flight Lesson. This airborne adventure takes place at the Lancaster Airport.

During the ground instruction you will learn how the Helicopter flies, about the flight controls, how to read the gauges, what to look for in conducting the pre-flight inspection and how to make sure the helicopter is safe to fly. Once ground instruction is complete, climb into the Co-Pilot’s seat and get ready for lift-off! Once in the air, you will enjoy amazing views of Dutch Country as you learn to pilot the helicopter. With the help of your flight instructor, you will have the opportunity to experience various flight conditions, including: straight and level flight, climbs, turns and descents, plus the most memorable, hovering!

Who Is Included hide

The Helicopter Flight Lesson In Lancaster Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant. This is a private flight.

When It Is Offered hide

The Lancaster Helicopter Flight Lessons are offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Flights are typically scheduled between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

How Long Is It hide

The Discovery Helicopter Flight Lessons include 10 to 15 minutes of ground instruction, have an average flight time of 60 minutes and are typically 1½ hours in total duration.

Weather hide

The Flight Lessons may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear hide

Dress Comfortably. Flat rubber-soled close toed shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

Additional Information hide

Your flight will take place the Schweizer 300CBI. Each provides a very smooth ride and has dual controls.

This experience is limited to individuals weighing 250 lbs or less who have a valid government issued Photo ID.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

All changes to reservations for the Helicopter Flight Lesson In Lancaster Experience require fourteen (14) days advance notice.
