Discover firsthand what it is like to pilot a Helicopter during this Introductory Flying Lesson in Nashua!

The thrill of this experience gift begins at the Boire Airfield where you will meet with your friendly Certified Flight Instructor. They will check you in for your Flight Lesson and answer any initial questions you have. Next it’s time to head out to the tarmac where you will receive a 20 to 30 briefing on the ground. The CFI will discuss the helicopter, detailing the controls, instruments and pre-flight safety check. Once ready, you will hop into the co-pilot’s seat, strap in and put your headphones on.

When you’re cleared for lift-off, the CFI will teach you how to take the controls and see what it is like to fly a helicopter! Flight conditions including straight and level flight, climbs, turns and descents, and hovering will all be experienced throughout the 30 minute flight.

Who Is Included hide

The Helicopter Flight Lesson Over Nashua Experience Certificate is valid for one participant.

This experience is not suitable for guests to join you on the flight; but, you may bring spectators to the airport to watch your Flight Lesson Over Nashua.

When It Is Offered hide

The Helicopter Flight Lessons are offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Flights are typically offered between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

How Long Is It hide

The Discovery Helicopter Flights include 20 to 30 minutes of ground and have a flight time of 30 minutes, with a total duration of approximately 1¼ hours.

Weather hide

The Introductory Helicopter Flight Lessons may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

Additional Information hide

Flights take place in a Robinson 22 Helicopter which provides a very smooth ride and has dual controls. The maximum weight of the participant may not exceed 240lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

All participants must have a valid photo ID (passport or driving license). Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight.
