Lace up your walking shoes and head over to Battery Park in lower Manthattan for a guided educational sightseeing tour of New York. During this New York Tour you will learn the origin, construction, secrets and stories of the most iconic American Destinations: the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

On this fun and informative experience gift you will learn why these two New York Landmarks symbolized American freedom and opportunity for the countless number of Immigrants who traveled through Ellis Island. You and the rest of the guests will enjoy a round-trip ferry ride from Battery Park to the Statue of Liberty and then to Ellis Island. During the tour, your knowledgeable Guide will enlighten you with fascinating stories of immigrants and their uncertain and treacherous journeys to America. Once at Ellis Island, you will be able to enjoy a walk through its historic museums.

All along the way you will be able to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of New York Harbor and the Manhattan Skyline. So whether you are a local or a Big Apple visitor, this Sightseeing Tour of New York will leave you with incredible insight on the role the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island had on Immigration and American Freedom.

The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Tours are offered on Saturday from March to October, subject to availability. Tours typically begin at 8:30 AM.

The Liberty and Ellis Island Tours of New York are typically 3 hours in length with a total duration of 3¼ hours.

The New York Sightseeing Tours take place in all weather conditions.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably. Flat walking shoes and layers are recommended for this walking adventure.

Tours include less than two miles of walking, a round-trip ferry ride and entrance to the Ellis Island Museums. All ages are welcome on the tour, but keep in mind you will be standing a majority of the three hours. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

There will be approximately 25-32 participants on the tour. The tour guide wears a portable microphone an speaker to ensure all participants can hear.

Tours do not run on on the following Holidays: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

This tour is not Wheelchair accessible. Service animals are allowed on the tour, however pets are not.

Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.
