The Michigan International Speedway NASCAR Ride includes 3 Laps as a passenger with a total duration of approximately 45 minutes.

Does Weather Impact NASCAR Driving Experiences

The Michigan Ride Along may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds or heavy rain.

What to Wear for NASCAR Driving Experiences

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this once in a lifetime racing adventure. Participants will be provided with all necessary equipment.

What To Know Before You Go

For safety reasons participants in the NASCAR Experience must be a minimum of 5'0" tall and no more than 6'8" tall. Participant must weigh a minimum of 100 lbs and no more than 280 lbs.

The race cars are purpose-built, full-sized, Nextel Cup-style Stock Cars. As these are real NASCARs, you must be able to climb through the window to get into the car.

A track-side viewing area is available for friends and family members.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Reservation And Cancelation Policy

All changes to reservations for the Michigan International Speedway Ride Along require forty-five (45) days advance notice. Changes to reservations are subject to a $50.00 administrative fee.

It was great. All the workers were friendly and helpful. The ride was amazing. The driver was great. It was on my bucket list. Check. I would recommend it to anyone who like NASCAR and racing.

Fun ride!

The ride along was a Christmas gift from my son and it was very fun. After the ride, it was discovered that the video card failed so the guy in charge put me back into a car for 3 more laps. That was a great move and a great recovery. The only improvements I could think of was to make things a little more clear for the people waiting.

Also, I don't think the speeds are as fast as advertised. Based on the video, my average speed on the second lap was 120 mph. I assume we got up to 140-150 on the straightaways but probably not up to 165 like some on line have claimed. Still, it was faster than I've ever been in a car before! I would recommend it to others.

Fantastic Experience

This was my first and last stockcar ride for me. It was a once in a life time great experience for me. But now I know what these drivers have to do and it is something that I would never want to do as a career. The experience kept my heart pumping for the entire 4 minutes and was very exciting. I am glad I had the experience but once is enough. I would recommend the ride for anyone that needed a jolt in life.

Everything was GREAT! From the moment we arrived at the track until we left the experience was very professionally managed and set up for maximum fun. The interaction with the 'pit crew' and the ability to feel a part of the NASCAR experience was met at every level. As we jetted from the pit and onto the track, you couldn't wipe the grin from my face. The only negative was that I didn't want to get out!, but to go around again and again. I WILL BE BACK!!!

WOW what a thrill!!! This was a breathtaking experience which I'll share with everyone I know. From the point of getting your gear on to the time you climb out of the car still digesting the thrill you just experienced was unbelievable and definately something that I would recommend to everyone that likes fast speed and incredible ride...this is something you have to experince. Definately coming back to drive myself next time. For all of you Nascar haters - jump in and see how 'boring' it is going around circles...I'm sure you'll change your mind and/or underwear :)

Question: I purchased this gift for my husband, a longtime NASCAR fan. I would like to bring the whole family to watch him race. I have two young kids and would like to know if concessions will be available or if I need to bring snacks along for my children.

Answer: As this is a private event hosted by the driving school, the concession stands will not be open. You may bring outside food and beverages along with you.
Question: My siblings and have been thinking about purchasing this experience gift for my father for Christmas. Are there height and weight requirements?

Answer: Participation in the NASCAR Ride Experience is limited to individuals that have the ability to climb through a 15" high by 30" wide window that sits 36" from the ground, can wear a driving suit: sizes S - 3X, and are at least 100 lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe in racing conditions are not eligible to participate.
Question: My Son’s birthday is coming up and I thought this would be an exciting sweet sixteen birthday present! Are there age limits for the ride along?

Answer: Participants must be a minimum of 5 ft tall and 100 lbs. Parental consent is required for participants under 18 years old.
