This elegant sailing adventure begins in Lower Manhattan, where you will meet your friendly Captain and Crew at the New York Harbor. The New York Brunch Sails are offered on Saturdays and Sundays, May to September, subject to availability. Sails typically depart at 12:00 PM.

The Champagne Brunch Sails have a sail time of approximately 1.5 hours and a total duration of approximately 2 hours.

The New York Sails may be rescheduled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, flat, non-marking rubber-soled shoes, layers and sunglasses are recommended for this sailing adventure. Please do not wear heels or boots that could potentially scuff the deck.

The Shearwater is a classic Newport-style schooner yacht, recognized in 2009 as a national landmark. The vessel was built by Rice Brother Corporation in East Boothbay, Maine and was first launched on May 4, 1929. According to documentations th Shearwater has a colorful history and has been carefully maintained and restored to standards that few contemporary vessels are able to match and is truly a piece of American Maritime History.

Price includes Brunch Buffet, tea and coffee service, freshly squeezed orange juice, as well as an open Champagne bar. Bunch menu includes but is not limited to quiche, yogurt parfaits, muffins, bagels, croissants, salmon and seasonal fruit.

Children 12 years old and younger must wear a life jacket. The Shearwater is not wheelchair accessible.

Champagne Brunch

The crew was great, the sail was wonderful. The food was okay, egg wraps and quiche were cold.

Completely Incredible!

I loved the schooner brunch! It was so much fun and the weather was amazing! We showed up at the designated time and were promptly led onto the boat. The skipper and his crew explained the day's schedule and then we were off. The brunch was light fare with lots of bagels, pastries, fruit, and sandwich goods. They also had tons of drinks on board and we were definitely satisfied with the food. Once we were out of the marina area, they released the sails with some willing participants among the guests (me and my bf included). It was such a great day! Some tips though: definitely bring a friend or two, don't forget the sunblock even if it's overcast, and definitely bring a jacket because it does get chilly in the open sea. Also parking is scarce so public transportation is the way to go.
