Explore California’s great outdoors during this full-day Sierra Nevada Outdoor Adventure.  Meeting in Lotus, California you will spend an exciting day completing a Ropes Course and Rafting Trip!

This thrilling adventure begins on the South Fork of the American River at a 19 acre riverside camp, only an hour away from Sacramento, CA. Here you will meet your passionate and fun loving Guides where you will discuss the day’s schedule. Then get ready to challenge yourself mentally and physically as you make your way through the ropes course 20 to 40 feet above the ground.  Next, your experienced guide will lead you on a thrilling Class III whitewater rafting trip down the South Fork.  This outdoor experience includes lunch and an action packed day full of fun.

Who Is Included hide

The Sierra Nevada Outdoor Adventure Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant, unless additional participants are added onto the certificate. There will be additional participants on the excursion.

This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When It Is Offered hide

The Outdoor Experience in Sierra Nevada is offered seven days a week, April thru October, subject to availability. Adventures typically begin at 8:00 AM.

How Long Is It hide

The Outdoor Adventure Experience in Sierra Nevada is approximately 8 hours in duration.

Weather hide

The American River Outdoor Adventure may be rescheduled by the Guide due to high winds, heavy rain or other inclement weather, and low water levels.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably, and bring a change of clothing. Recommended items include a water bottle, swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, a fleece or jacket, outdoor sandals or non-slip sneakers. Close toed shoes are required, sunglasses or hat and sunscreen are also recommended.

Additional Information hide

Ropes Course is built to rigorous safety standard specifications and you will be harnessed in. Participants must weigh less than 240lbs.

For the rafting trip, wetsuits and paddling jackets, usually only needed early season, are available to rent for an additional cost or participants may bring their own. Personal flotation devices are provided and must be worn by all participants.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions such as heart or lung conditions, severe asthma, back problems, recent surgery, obesity or osteoporosis or any other condition which is considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

Lunch is provided and Deli-style sandwiches with your choice of bread, turkey, chicken, and salami cold cuts, several cheeses, fresh tomatoes, bell peppers, lettuce, cucumbers, pickles, onion, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, pesto, hummus, mayo, mustard and hot sauces of different persuasions, plus fresh fruit, chips and/or crackers, cookies, and lemonade.

Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited prior and during the excursions.

Price includes lunch and tax. Gratuities for your Guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.


Reservation Information hide

All changes to reservations for the Sierra Nevada Outdoor Adventure Experience require thirty-five (35) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
