Enjoy a two hour Sightseeing Brunch Cruise with a guest on the Willamette River during this Portland Experience Gift.

This is your chance to sit back, relax and take in all of the beautiful sites that the picturesque City of Roses has to offer. You will enjoy a delicious brunch buffet featuring locally sourced Northwest Cuisine as you listen to live entertainment. Upon departure you will head South (upstream) from downtown Portland on the Willamette River to the Milwaukie Basin/Lake Oswego area.

Once you’ve reached Peter Kerr Park it’s time to head back. Explore the outside observation decks as the return leg cruises North through downtown, grab a drink at the bar or simply take pleasure in time spent together on this indulgent Willamette River escape.

The Portland Brunch Cruises are offered Sundays year-round and Saturdays May thru October, subject to availability. Cruises depart from Salmon Street Springs at 11:30 AM on Sundays and from Cascade Locks on Sundays, May thru October at 10:00 AM.

The Brunch Cruises in Portland may be held dockside or rescheduled by the Captain if there are severe weather conditions.

What To Wear

Dressy Casual attire is suggested. High heels are not recommended, but flat non-slip shoes are. The vessel offers fully enclosed with climate-controlled dining decks. Layers are suggested as it gets cooler on the outer decks.

The price includes the narrated sightseeing Cruise, live entertainment and an unlimited buffet brunch, coffee and tea. Brunch includes breakfast, lunch and dessert items prepared fresh on board and made with locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Beverages other than water, coffee or tea are available for purchase from the bar.

Cruises aboard Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler typically run west (downstream) to Bonneville Dam from Cascade Locks on the Columbia River, then east (upstream) in the direction of White Salmon/Hood River before returning to Dock.

This brunch cruise was definitely a memorable one. The crew was very courteous and accommodating, the buffet and drinks were excellent, and of course the view of the city was excellent. I gave it as a birthday gift to my friend for her 80th birthday!! She and I just loved it. Thank you.

Fun Experience

Taking a cruise on a stern wheeler on the Columbia River has been on my bucket list for a long time. The trip itself was wonderful. Other than when we were eating brunch we spent the entire trip outside on deck. We enjoyed seeing the sights and the Captain pointed out some interesting facts along the way. The only think we did not enjoy was the food. It was cold and rather boring with not many choices. It was obvious it had been prepared earlier and had been sitting there for a while. My husband tried the eggs benedict and the bottom of the English muffin was so hard he could not cut through it! We have been on other brunch cruises in the past and the food was excellent - both in quality and choices. We would not take this particular brunch cruise again.

I was given a gift certificate for a cruise on The Portland Spirit by a co-worker and recently took my wife & 2 kids (2yr & 6yr). It was only $23 to add my 6yr as the gift was originally for 2 people. we all had a great time on board. The staff was entertaining and super friendly, always seemed to be one nearby.

This cruise was a gift from Santa last Christmas and what a marvelous gift it was. We were warmly greeted by the staff and seated in a booth looking out on the water. The food was terrific, the service was A+, the live music was just perfect, not too loud, and we can't wait to treat good friends and family to this marvelous adventure.

I took my mother in law with me on this brunch cruise. We enjoyed all of it. The food what fabulous, and the view was amazing. We loved that we got to sit and talk with out it being noisy. The staff was really friendly as well. Later that night I recommend this experiance to everyone I knew. All of them were jealous. Thank you for this adventure I am looking foward to doing it again.

Great Cruise! Great Brunch! What more can I say?We would probably have given a 5, but we had to go downstream because they we're able to lift one of the bridges. Clearly not the fault of the providers. We would definitely do this again for guest visiting us.

Question: I would like to surprise my girlfriend with this cruise, but I am not sure what she will want to eat. Will I have to pick out menu options when making a reservation?

Answer: The Brunch Cruise offers a brunch buffet. Food is locally sourced and prepared fresh, onboard everyday. You will not need to choose a menu item and you will be able to visit the buffet as much or as little as you like.
Question: I was given this cruise for my birthday and would like to take my good friend who is a vegetarian. Will they be able to accommodate her?

Answer: Yes, the brunch buffet will have fresh fruit, vegetables and at least one vegetarian option.
Question: My sister and I are scheduled on the Portland Brunch Cruise, but there is a storm in the forecast. Will the sail be cancelled?

Answer: The sail is held rain or shine and there are climate controlled inner decks. If weather is extreme the Captain may choose to hold the boat dockside.
