Step beneath a Portland bar and explore one of the country’s most haunted places on this one hour tour through the notorious Shanghai Tunnels. Learn about Portland’s dark past and infamous characters (some of them still residing in the tunnels) before steadying your nerves with a tasting of craft brewed beer.

On this one hour tour, you’ll explore part of the Old Portland Underground, known to locals as the Shanghai Tunnels, which run directly underneath the bar. You’ll learn about the tunnel’s original purpose, connecting the basements of local businesses so that deliveries could be made from the Willamette River, and discover its dark reputation as a sight of hauntings and shanghaied sailors. You might even get to meet the tunnel’s resident ghost, Nina, and snap a picture of spooky goings on. After emerging back into the bar, you’ll have a chance to sample three of their award winning, small batch beers before enjoying a pint of a local favorite.
