Your experience will take place in a Boeing PT-17 Stearman. This was the first aircraft a cadet would fly during flight training prior to and during World War ll. Known for its stability and strength; the Stearman was a reliable primary trainer and remains a popular classic today.
Each pilot is fully certified by the Federal Aviation Administration, has accumulated thousands of hours of flight time and takes an annual proficiency check ride administered by an FAA designated flight examiner.
The front seat of the plane is a bench with the width of 32." If binging a guest your combined width must be less than that. Each passenger must wear a parachute in accordance with FAA guidelines which will take up some of the space.
Flights do not take place if the weather is below 65 degrees or above 100 degrees, as the plane has an open cockpit.
Children under the age of 10 should fly with an adult and must be at least 48" tall. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight, and a parent or guardian must sign for anyone under the age of 18.
