Learn about the landscape of the City during an Architecture Tour of New York. Narrated by a member of the American Institute of Architect’s NYC Chapter, this Sightseeing Cruise offers you the chance to circumnavigate the island of Manhattan, cruising under all 18 bridges!

This adventure begins at Chelsea Piers. Here you will meet the friendly Captain and Crew as you board the motor yacht Manhattan. After you select your seat, it’s time to sit back, relax and enjoy the gorgeous 360-degree views of the City from the enclosed back-deck observatory as you learn about the monuments, architecture, parks and infrastructure of the Big Apple. Enjoy a narration of the tour provided by members of the American Institute of Architects NYC chapter. From the Harlem, East and Hudson Rivers, you will have a unique perspective on all five boroughs of the City, so don’t forget your camera!

The Harbor Cruises are offered seven days a week April thru December, and on select dates in February and March. Sails are typically offered in the morning and the afternoon.

The AIANY Architecture Cruises have a sail length of 2¾ hours and a total duration of approximately 3¼ hours.

The Manhattan Harbor Cruises take place in most weather conditions but may be rescheduled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

Classically-lined and comfortable, the Manhattan features an enclosed back seating area surrounded by windows and skylights, and comes equipped for all weather, with air conditioning and heating.

Each passenger will receive one complimentary drink from the bar. Light snacks as well as soda, water, tea or coffee are also available. Additional beverages are available for purchase at the cash bar and passengers are welcome to bring a small picnic on board. Outside beverages and smoking are not permitted on-board. All passengers MUST be over the age of 14.

There is no guarantee of a full circumnavigation of Manhattan. On rare occasions, the Spuyten Duyvil train bridge is inoperable and cannot opened. This is often times not known until the cruise is underway. There are no refunds or reschedules offered in such cases.

Gratuity for the Captain and Crew is not included and is appreciated at the end of the cruise.

Excellent Tour Under Less Than Ideal Circumstances

We very much enjoyed this tour. The content was interesting and the presenter did a great job. Unfortunately it started snowing as we got on the boat and didn't stop for the entire trip so visibility was poor, but we were glad we went anyway and enjoyed it enough that we plan to do it again in better weather.

Question: My wife and I received this tour as a gift, and we're going to be driving from New Jersey over the George Washington Bridge. Is there parking close to the docks?

Answer: There is parking available nearby and plenty of public transportation access. Parking and additional Contact information will be provided on your confirmation which you will receive after booking a date.
Question: My girlfriend booked us on a architecture cruise on the Hudson and East Rivers for our trip. I've gotten seasick on boats before, but not every time. How steady is this cruise?

Answer: If you get seasick only on small vessels you should be okay. The yacht is 80 feet and very stable and it is pretty rare for passengers to get seasick. If you normally take medication for motion sickness you may want to consider it, however the cruise company cannot officially advise you to take any.
Question: Is the Manhattan Harbor Architecture Cruise Handicapped accessible?

Answer: The Manhattans are accessible to those with walkers and canes. While the exterior deck is also accessible to those in wheelchairs, the yachts are not completely wheelchair accessible.
