Your fun outdoor adventure gift begins 30 miles northwest of Springfield, MA. Here you and your guest will meet the friendly and experienced Dog Musher and Tour Guide. Upon arrival you will get acquainted with the sled dog team, learn how to maneuver the rig and discuss safety points before setting out on your excursion. Once on your way, you will travel through meadows, across the wooded landscape of Western New England as you take-in amazing views of the Fall Foliage. You may bring one Guest to join you on the sled for a total of two participants.

When It Is Offered hide

The Dog Sledding Tours are offered seven days a week September thru December, subject to availability. Tours are typically in the morning or afternoon.

How Long Is It hide

This Chesterfield Dryland Dog Sledding Tours have a tour length of 1 hour and a total duration of approximately 2 hours.

Weather hide

The Dog Sledding Tours in Massachusetts take place in most weather conditions, but may be rescheduled by the Guide due to poor weather conditions.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably in layers, and please wear closed toed shoes or boots.

Additional Information hide

Along with a 20 to 30 minute Dog Sled Ride, this adventure includes meeting the dogs, petting, snacking, helping harness and/or lining up and releasing the dogs.

The maximum combined weight for both participants must be less than 350 lbs.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Gratuities for your Sled Tour Guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.
