Explore Washington D.C.’s beautiful neighborhood of Dupont during this three hour mouth-watering food tour. During this walking food tour, you will learn about the diversity and history of the neighborhood as you savor treats from local purveyors.

The adventure begins when you meet your friendly, local tour Guide in Dupont. You and the rest of the group will then be escorted through the District’s most cosmopolitan neighborhood! As you walk through the historic streets, your Guide will point out beautiful nineteenth century architecture and the immaculately built embassies that brought global diversity to the neighborhood. Along the way you will discover several eateries that reflect the diversity of Dupont. From restaurants to local shops, you will savor a range of delicacies including bistro style American with Asian influences, locally influenced Mexican, Malaysian street food, Mediterranean dessert, Turkish tea and More!

The Dupont Circle Food Tours are offered Sundays, year round, subject to availability. Tours begin at 3:00 PM.

The Dupont Circle Food Tours have a tour length of approximately 3 hours and a total duration of approximately 3¼ hours.

Weather

The Dupont Culinary Tours take place in all weather conditions, but may be rescheduled by the Guide due to sever weather conditions.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably. flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this culinary adventure. Flip-flops, high heels and dress-shoes are not recommended.

Tours finish within three blocks of the starting point and include 1½ to 2 miles of walking. There are typically four or five stops along the tour, each stop will last between 20 and 25 minutes.

All dishes are served sitting down, so you can enjoy the ambiance of each restaurant while trying their specialties, and hearing their stories. All dishes served are included in the price of the tour. The dishes you will try resemble small meals rather than traditional tastings. During the Food Tour, each restaurant will serve water or other beverages. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased during the tour from the restaurant(s).

Eating a light brunch before the tour rather than lunch is recommended. Enough food is served that most participants will not need dinner after the tour.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the experience no substitutions can be made.

Gratuities for your tour guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Question: I would like to purchase a food tour for my mother, but she uses a wheel chair. Is the Dupont Tour wheelchair accessible?

Answer: Unfortunately not all of the stops on this tour have wheelchair access. It also covers about 3 miles over hilly uneven terrain.
Question: I am looking for unique Christmas gifts for family members. Can gluten free and vegetarians be accommodated?

Answer: Please make a note of all dietary restrictions and food allergies when redeeming your certificate and they will be passed on to the guide at the time of reservation. Vegetarians can be accommodated easily. Gluten free substitutions will be provided when possible but are not always available as the tour is designed to highlight a variety of foods.
