All aboard for an evening of fun during a gourmet sailing adventure in New York Harbor! During this two-hour Sunset Sail you will savor fresh sushi and sake pairings selected by Iron Chef Morimoto himself!

This delightful experience gift begins at Chelsea Piers where you will board the beautiful 105’ Schooner America 2.0. After you are greeted by the friendly Captain and Crew, the ship will head south down the Hudson River and the tastings will begin. Throughout the first hour of the cruise you will be served nine different pieces of sushi as well as one roll, expertly paired with cold sake including organic Junmai Ginjo and sparkling sake! As you sail through the Harbor, you will enjoy picturesque views of the Big Apple skyline, the Statue of Liberty, Governor’s Island and more!

Who Is Included hide

The Morimoto Sushi and Sake Sunset Sail Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant, unless additional participants are added onto the certificate. You may be joined by up to 40 additional participants on this sightseeing cruise.

This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When It Is Offered hide

This Sushi and Sake Sails are offered on Monday evenings, June to September, subject to availability. Sails typically board at either 6:00 PM or 6:30 PM and depart at a half hour later, returning to the dock two hours after departure.

How Long Is It hide

The Manhattan Sushi and Sake Sails have a sail length of 2 hours and a total duration of approximately 2½ hours.

Weather hide

The Iron Chef Morimoto Sushi and Sake Cruises take place in most weather conditions but may be rescheduled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably, flat, non-marking rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this sailing adventure.

Additional Information hide

Sails take place on the America 2.0 she is a new 105-foot, 1800s-style vessel. The price includes all applicable taxes, round trip cruise fees, sushi and sake, per passenger. Assorted cold sakes, champagne, wine, beer and soda will be provided. Please keep in mind this is not an unlimited booze-cruise, and the aim is to create an elegant, relaxing, peaceful, and safe experience for all guests.

The sushi menu is subject to change due to seasonality, but typically features 9 pieces of fish to sample and one roll. Pairings offered include: Sake / King Salmon Unagi / Fresh Water Eel Chu Toro / Medium Fatty Tuna Hamachi / Yellowtail Hirame / Fluke Suzuki / Striped Bass Ebi / Shrimp Ika / Squid Kisu / Silver Whiting Spicy Tuna Maki / Scallion, Spicy Sauce

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Smoking and outside beverages are not permitted onboardp.

Gratuity for the Captain and Crew is not included and is appreciated at the end of the cruise.
