Suit up in your warm winter gear, strap on a pair of snowshoes and prepare to explore the powdered beauty of the Wenatchee Valley in winter. During this three hour alpine tour, you'll frolic in fresh snow as your friendly Guide introduces you to the natural wonders of the region.

Your winter wonderland experience gift begins in downtown Leavenworth, where you'll meet your knowledgeable Guide. Once you have been fitted with your snowshoes, you and the rest of the group will be chauffeured to some of the best snowshoeing trails in Washington. For three fun hours, you'll explore the Wenatchee Valley and Alpine Lakes Wilderness areas, trekking through the pristine powdered paradise and marveling at the landscapes. The area is also rich in active wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for birds and mammals along the way.

Who Is Included hide

The Wenatchee Valley Snowshoe Tour Experience Gifts Certificate is for one participant, unless additional participants are added onto the certificate. There will be up to six participants on the tour.

The Leavenworth Snowshoe Tours are not suitable for non-paying guests or spectators.

When It Is Offered hide

The Snowshoe Tours are offered up to seven days a week December thru February, subject to availability and snow levels. Tours typically begin at 10:00 AM.

How Long Is It hide

The Alpine Snowshoe Treks have a tour length of 3 hours and a total duration of approximately 3½ hours.

Weather hide

The Wenatchee Valley Snowshoe Tours may be rescheduled by the Guide due to severe weather conditions.

What To Wear hide

Dress warmly and practically for this snow trekking adventure. Where possible, please dress in layers and wear wool or fleece socks, thermal underwear, snow pants, a sweater, light-weight winter jacket, a hat, gloves or mittens, snow or hiking boots, and sunglasses.

Under-layers with moisture wicking ability to keep you dry is best.

Additional Information hide

Tours include use of all specialist equipment such as snowshoes and poles, as well as trail passes and transportation from the adventure center to the trail-head and back. Tours also include hot beverages and trail snacks to keep you energized on the trek.

Sales tax is included, however Guide Gratuity is not and can be extended to your guide following your tour.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

No experience necessary for participation, the Snowshoe Tours are suitable for adults and children.

Participants may be required to sign a Liability Release Form. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.
